What types of therapy will I be using?

Each client's therapy sessions are customized to their unique needs and experiences, ensuring that no two sessions are alike.

I specialise in two types of therapy: Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) and BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT).

As a qualified Rapid Transformational Therapy Practitioner, Clinical Hypnotherapist, and BWRT Practitioner, I am equipped to address a wide range of issues, including Confidence and Self-esteem issues, Fears & Phobias, Addiction, Weight Management, Anxiety and Depression.

In spring 2024, I will be introducing Silent Counselling to my practice, further expanding the range of therapies I offer to meet the specific needs of each client.

  • BWRT® (BrainWorking Recursive Therapy)

    ‘BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI.

    It’s a totally confidential method that does not require you to reveal your private information or personal secrets to your therapist and it is carried out in a completely conscious state.

    It does not use hypnosis or any concepts that might be considered mystical or unscientific - it’s completely logical, practical and down-to-earth, and for it to succeed only needs you to know what you want to change in your life.

  • RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy)

    RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy) is a powerful and effective technique developed over a 30 year period by Marisa Peer, that allows me to quickly get to the root of the issue, and work out the fastest way to free you from it permanently.

    RTT reprograms your subconscious mind with powerful, positive beliefs, which help create new and beneficial behavioural patterns, leaving out-dated belief systems in the past. New life-affirming beliefs are formed, and the transformational process begins.

    RTT combines the most effective principles of Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to bring you the results you deserve.

    Many of the issues we face can be resolved with as little as one session, with more complex issues needing up to three sessions.

FAQs

  • Each session lasts between 60 minutes to 2 hours. For that reason, I ask you to block 2.5 hours in your calendar to make sure you’re not rushed.

  • There are 3 types of change from Rapid Transformational Therapy® – every person is different:

    a) Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away – immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviours right in the session.

    b) Incremental: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time.

    c) Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you suddenly look back and see all of the things that are different in your life.

  • Hypnosis is just a natural state of relaxation, like before falling asleep. It is like daydreaming and you may or may not notice going deeper into that natural state when it is suggested to you. We think we have never done it before although we do it every day. Hypnosis is not magic – it’s science! It works just by getting into the different brainwave state that is the same as when you’re in REM-state. That is what allows you to access the subconscious mind. It’s very easy and anyone can do it, you’ll see for yourself when you do it too!

  • The price will vary depending on which type of therapy we decide will get you the outcome you’re looking for. I will discuss pricing and package details during the Discovery Call. Children’s sessions are offered at a reduced rate.

  • The experience feels different for different people. Don’t expect to feel ‘hypnotised’. Some people feel a floating sensation, some do not. Others may feel sleepy, some do not. Most people feel relaxed and at ease. What’s most important is to know that how you feel isn’t an indicator of how effective it is. Regardless of what it feels like – it’s working.

  • No! You are in control the whole time. We will have a normal conversation. You can agree and disagree during the whole session, you control everything. You can talk, move your body, get a tissue, even get up and leave to go to the bathroom. If it is a remote session and our call gets disconnected, you may drift into sleep if you’re really relaxed, but eventually you’ll notice that you’re not hearing my voice anymore and open your eyes.

  • If you go back to scenes from your life that are related to things like abuse, or other trauma, it’s important to know that you are not reliving that scene, you are simply reviewing it from a safe perspective, like on a TV screen. YOU are safe. I am with you, I will guide you and create a safe space for you to express your emotions and heal – you’ll be OK.

  • RTT® is designed to give you a powerful breakthrough and create big changes in your life. Some clients may need more than one session on a particular issue, depending on how deep it is it can take up to three sessions. Some clients want to keep doing sessions to work on other areas of their life. For both these reasons I offer different packages.
